A scheme comprising of four 1 bedroom apartments and a single 2 bed apartment in a stand-alone block constructed by River Oaks Homes on their Southdowns Park development (within walking distance of the centre of this historic town).
These units were available to buy through the Landspeed Shared Purchase Scheme at up to 80% of their open market values, with no loan to repay on the balancing share retained by Landspeed and, most importantly, no rent payable on this discounted element.
The units were fitted with contemporary kitchens which included a fully integrated oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher plus stone worksurfaces. The bathrooms came with a heated towel rail and Porcelanosa tiles. Karndean flooring is fitted in the hall and living/kitchen areas and the bedrooms (with built in wardrobes) are carpeted. There is underfloor heating throughout and all of the apartments are wired to a central point for Virgin TV and BT fibre optic broadband.

The Landspeed Shared Purchase Scheme was available to applicants who have a local connection to the Lewes District Council area (by means of working, living or having close family links) and who cannot afford to purchase an equivalent property on the open market. The monthly costs are more affordable than a ‘standard’ shared ownership scheme due to the fact that no rent (which would increase annually) is charged on the discounted value.
